The focus of the world volleyball village in September will be the 2022 World Championship Volleyball Championship, the biggest tournament for women's teams around the world.
Again, Poland is the host of this tournament with the Netherlands. This is the first time in history, the tournament has been held in two countries. In 2022, the 19th time the tournament was held.
The World Championship Volleyball Championship is held every 4 years. This year, the tournament takes place from September 23 to October 15 with the participation of 24 worldwide volleyball teams from all continents.
There are 5 out of 24 teams participating in the championship including Japan (1962, 1967, 1974), China (1982, 1986), Italy (2002), USA (2014) and Serbia (2018). The Russian team, the team won two consecutive champions in 2006 and 2010, was not allowed to attend.

24 teams are divided into 4 groups, each of 6 teams. The teams competed in a round and selected the names to go on the next round. ARNHEM of the Netherlands and Gdansk, Lodz of Poland will host this round.
The second round will have two groups, each group 8 teams. The results of the confrontation pairs from the first round will be kept and not fighting in this round. The second round selected 8 names in the quarterfinals. Rotterdam city of the Netherlands and Polish Lodz is the venue for matches.
The quarterfinals and semi -finals will take place in the Netherlands's Apeldoorn cities and Poland's Gliwice. The Netherlands's Apeldoorn will be the place where two finals and third -class competitions of the tournament take place.
This year's Asia has 5 representatives: China, Japan, Korea, Thailand and Kazakhstan.
