After many years of absence, the Australian women's volleyball team will officially return to the tournaments in Asia and the upcoming Asian Volleyball Cup – AVC Cup 2022. Here, they will share the table with Japan, Thailand, Taipei China and Kazakhstan.
To prepare for the biggest tournament of the Asian volleyball year, the Australian team chose Vietnam as a training destination for a period of 9 days before coming to the Philippines to attend AVC Cup 2022 starting from August 21.

The coach of the Australian team Russell Borgeauud said the training will bring the ideal preparation from the training location, the friendly competitors are professional clubs of Vietnam. Especially the adaptation of hot and humid weather is similar to the Philippines.
The coach said this training was an opportunity to develop the team's skills and spiritual spirit before the AVC Cup to be able to compete with excellent opponents in the upcoming tournament.
The Australian women's volleyball team does not have many opportunities to practice together as well as compete with other teams in Asia. Therefore, this training is very important to advance to long -term goals.

Not only a training trip in Vietnam, but this team had previously been to Thailand, these were valuable trips for the whole team to be able to connect and further develop their strength. Especially when there are new names in the squad.
The list of 14 athletes participating in this training trip in Vietnam is also the names participating in the upcoming AVC Cup 2022. In particular, the person who will take on the position of the Australian women's volleyball team will be a passing two Kell Lean.
During its time in Vietnam, the Australian team will have two friendly matches with VietinBank and Ninh Binh Doveco.
