The World Women's Volleyball Star Paola Egonu was absent in recent matches that sparked rumors that she and the Milano Management Club had a problem. There was even rumors that she broke up with Italian team to play in Türkiye.
However, unfounded rumors could not come true when Egonu's status was published. Accordingly, the “monster” of the world's female volleyball village does not play for health reasons. However, the problem that Egonu encountered was not a sporty injury.
Vero Volley Milano Club has confirmed that his star is infected in the nasal cavity and needs laparoscopic surgery. The surgery is scheduled to take place next week. Her condition was discovered after a medical examination.
As expected, Egonu's recovery time may take several weeks. Thus, this pass will miss the first phase of the season. This will be a significant loss of the Milano team.
Paola Egonu himself also shared his disappointment on his personal page: “Tomorrow will start the championship season that I have been eagerly waiting. But unfortunately, because of the health problem, I will not be able to play with my teammates.”
She also expressed regret when he missed the Super Cup final because of this issue. Also because of the absence of Egonu, Milano lost to the Imoco rival in the first important match of the season.
