A condemnation that took place within the quarterfinals of the CEV 2023 men's volleyball tournament took place in Isael's Tel Aviv on Thursday, causing indignation to the world volleyball fan community.

Specifically, in the framework of the quarterfinals between the host Maccabi Yeadim Tel-Avivv and Omonia Nicosia, the audience in the stands took non-sports actions worthy of condemnation.

While the athletes were playing on the field, the Israeli fans were on the pitch threw flares into the field to play in the first half. Fortunately, no athletes were injured after this throw.

Flares were kicked out of the yard by athletes. During the period between the matches, the fights of the fans increased in the stands and flares were also burned more.

Israeli Sports Minister Miki Zohar did everything, but the situation on the field did not improve. The referees had to stop the match 50 minutes to stabilize the situation before the match continued.

Nearly a thousand athletes were kicked out of the stadium for a fight. In the end, the host won 3-0, both will meet again in the second leg of January 26.

CEV Challenge Cup is the second prestigious club in Europe after the CEV Champions League. The tournament went to the quarterfinals with the first matches in the middle of the week.
