After the Russian -Ukraine war broke out, the World Volleyball Federation – FIVB banned Russia indefinitely all events and volleyball matches of its competition system. Along with that, Russia was also deprived of the right to organize the World Men's Volleyball Championship in 2022. Polish and Slovenia countries became the host of the tournament.

As such, Russia will not have the right to host the tournament and lose the capacity to attend the World Men's Volleyball Championship 2022. The country chosen by the World Volleyball Federation is Ukraine. The country's male volleyball team will replace the Russian athletes in Group A of this year's tournament.
The Ukrainian National Men's Volleyball team is currently ranked 23 in the world and is full of hope to have a successful tournament. With the surprise of the right to attend the 2022 World Men's Volleyball Championship, the NHM of this country hopes the team will go deep at the tournament.

After FIVB deprived Russia's hosts, the 2022 World Championship Volleyball Championship has not decided the official schedule. As initially expected, the tournament will take place from August 26 to September 11, 2022. However, the change of the host country has disturbed everything.
The results of the group stage are remained the same and only one change is the Ukrainian male volleyball team to replace Russian players in Group A.
