Not except for the possibility that he will not attend the 32nd SEA Games in Cambodia. He also expressed his dissatisfaction at the fact that Dante Alinsunurin was fired on the grounds that was considered unreasonable.

Joshua Retamar said this is his personal opinion that is not related to coach Dante. In addition, there is another reason that is said to make this athlete refuse to recruit.

According to Joshua Retamar, he and his teammates have no longer received a subsidy since November last year.

Joshua Retamar shared: “We lost money from November last year. They said that the team was not focused, so the allowance was stopped. While we wanted to practice to make up for defeat at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam.”

Joshua Retamar said he and his teammates asked the coach when he could focus but coach Dante said that the Filipino Labor Federation had no answers so they could only wait.

These two passes said their daily allowances in the process of preparing for the 31 SEA Games 31 were very low, lower than when the team was founded in 2019 even though the team had just won the SEA Games.

Even athletes have to actively pay for drinking water and charge the car each training session. Not to mention that the meals and subsidies are too low that athletes still have to send to their families while most of them are still students.

Joshua Retamar said that not everyone is rich, the athletes must also make a living and he hopes that the allowance will be increased than before.

Currently, the Philippine newspaper has contacted the President of the Labor Federation of the country but has not received any feedback on these things.
