The hall of international volleyball fame honors 6 people in 2022

The International Volleyball Hall of Fame in Holyoke, USA has announced 6 more names honored by 2022. These names include: Kerri Walsh Jennings, Bernardo Rezende 'Bernardinho', Pieter Joon, Samuele Papi, Fernanda Venturini and Peter Murphy.

The achievements of these 6 volleyball legends specifically include: American beach volleyball athlete Walsh Jennings (four times attending the Olympic Games and three gold medals); Brazilian Bernardinho, the great coach of men and women's volleyball; Dutch Joon, the founder and the first president of Para Volley World, Papi (four times attending the Olympic Games and won 2 gold medals, 2 bronze medals); Brazilian Venturini (athlete attended the Olympic Games three times and won a bronze medal); and Dutch Murphy (former Technical Director of the Dutch Federation and a member of the FIVB Technical Committee for 30 years).

Up to the present time, the hall of international volleyball fame has honored 155 people with great achievements and influences in world volleyball from 25 different countries.

With the addition of 6 new names in 2022, this figure will increase to 161 people.
