On December 9, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand had a press conference about the country hosting the World Championship Tournament 2025. Accordingly, this tournament will take place from August 22 to September 7, 2025 at 4 different locations.
In this tournament, the home team will welcome the return of the legendary coach Kiattipong Ratchata Kriengkrai, who created the 6 golden generation of Thai women's volleyball.
During the press conference on this event, Mr. Kiatttipong revealed the plan to prepare for the tournament to focus on the development of the main athletes by exporting outside the competition.
BHL will closely monitor the overseas competition process of these athletes to be able to support maximum physical and mental to gain the best strength for the national team.
The coach said that in 2025, Thai women's volleyball focused on the world championship, Volleyball Nations League and SEA Games with the goal of accumulating points.
The goal of Thai women's volleyball team will be in the top 10 world before entering the world championship. In addition, the athletes recruited U19 and U21 will also be prepared to serve the national team later.
Mr. Kiattipong affirmed that the national team is willing to give opportunities to all athletes with potential to participate. The detailed plan will be announced and started in March 2025.
In addition, a team also conducted research rivals on continents like China, Japan or South Korea to increase the competitiveness of Thai women's volleyball in long -term plans.
