The Thai Volleyball Federation has just held an event to award about 30 million baht (about 20 billion VND) to Thai volleyball athletes.
The event was organized to express respect, thank the coaches and athletes of Thai volleyball both in the house and the beach as well as the content of men and women who represented the national competition for international tournaments throughout the year.
The season has ended and this is a reward for all after a year of hard work and competition. This amount does not include financial support from national sports development funds.
The President of the Thai Labor Federation Somporn Chainyang gave the captain Piyanut of the Thai women's volleyball team in this gratitude ceremony.
In the past year, Thai volleyball has achieved many remarkable achievements. The women's team won the SEA Games 32, ASIAD 19 bronze medal, won the Asian Championship 2023 at home.
With the men's volleyball team, although it has not been successful at the 32nd SEA Games, this team excelled in winning the AVC Challenge Cup 2023 and won the right to attend the FIVB Challenger 2023.
Although it is not possible to succeed in awakening the dream of gaining the right to attend the Paris Olympic Games 2024, last year is still considered a successful year of Thai volleyball. The support for the volleyball athletes of this country is also the dream of other teams in the region.
