The Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) is considering asking this country to participate in the Summer Olympics 2024 – the Paris Olympic Games while the possibility of returning to the international arena is expected not to be 2026 before 2026.
According to Kommersant, the head of Roc Stanislav Pozdnyakov said it is considering the possibility that the country cannot return to international competition before 2026 but can still reach the Paris Olympic Games 2024.
The Wall Steet Journal reported that the US Olympic Committee supported Russia's attendance of the Paris Olympics as long as they did not play under the color of the nation or the colors representing the country.
Earlier, at the Tokyo Olympic Games, the Russian sports delegation with the prohibition of the doping scandal was not played with Russia's national flag or national anthem. The IOC also supports the Asian Olympic Games to allow Russian athletes to attend as a neutral.
Whether the teams including the Russian volleyball team can join the Paris Olympic Games are still open.
Another story is being concerned when the Russian Football Federation requires the World Labor FIVB FIVB to refund half of the cost they have paid to organize the World Championship Men's Volleyball Championship 2022.
This figure is $ 20 million but FIVB refused this request. The tournament was originally held in Russia but was later moved to Poland and Slovenia.
