The focus of the current Asian volleyball village is the Asian Championship Men's Volleyball Championship held in Iran from August 19. This is the largest tournament for the continent for men's volleyball teams.
If in the previous seasons, most of the strong teams like Japan, Iran, Korea or Australia were not very salty, but only sent to the youth team or the 2 team to attend, this year was different.
When FIVB World Labor Federation put this tournament into the score system for the world rankings, which is important to competition for the ticket to the Paris Olympic Games 2024, everything is different.
The No. 1 Men's Volleyball Team – Japan will bring its strongest squad. This is a rare year for this team to bring all its stars to the tournament.
Famous names have just won the Volleyball Nations League 2023 such as Yuka Ishikawa, Takahashi Ran, Yuji Nishida, Miyaura … will all participate in this tournament on Iran.
The goal of the Japanese male volleyball team is nothing but the championship and the scores on the world rankings. This is very important to help Japan preserve its 5th place.
When the direct ticket to Paris in the following summer is very difficult in the continental qualifying tournament, Japan needs to hold the position on the FIVB rankings. The main Japanese rival is the host of Iran.
