Philippine volleyball is greatly reformed after the pathetic results at SEA Games 31

Investing a lot of money but still not achieving good achievements as expected, the two teams of Philippine male and female volleyball will be reformed in early June.

Inquirer reported that the Philippine Volleyball Federation is said to be trying to rejuvenate the squad for the goal of winning the SEA Games in the future.

The Chairman of the Philippines Labor Federation, Mr. Ramon, said the achievements of the two indoor volleyball teams were not good, completely less than the achievements of beach volleyball.

There will be a reform in both teams on June 1. However, this reform has not been revealed specific details. The future goal can be to choose a younger and higher female team to go to the international playground.

The Philippines team played well in Barueri, Brazil with the victory over a club of the country with a strong ratio. However, closing the SEA Games, the island girls failed in the bronze match against Indonesia.

As the head coach, Mr. Jorge Edson Souza de Brito, will continue to lead the team until the contract expires in July 2023. The coach said that the team had difficulties but actually approached the goal of playing in the final.

De Brito will have another opportunity to do it, because the SEA Games 2023 Cambodia is only a few months to take place.

As for the men's team, the achievement is even worse when only ranked 5th and cannot participate in medal matches.
