Officially announced the doping sentence of the Olympic champion of Russian volleyball

General Secretary of the Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV), Aleksandr Yaremenko, confirmed that the banned period of the two -star volleyball stars Aleksandr Butko and Pavel Moroz will be April 2023.

The ban on playing with the Olympic Games, Russian national star Butko – who had a positive test result with doping will expire in April 2023.

In September, butko was convicted of using doping with the 2014 result model when he was playing the final of the Russian league in Lokomotiv's shirt.

The Pavel Moroz, meanwhile, was convicted of using banned substances in 2018 to receive a similar penalty.

The World Volleyball Federation and the athletes have confirmed the negotiation to make a final penalty. According to the Wada International Doping Agency, butko can return to training from February 15.

With the bond of the ban, both can participate in the final round of the Russian Volleyball Volleyball Tournament.

However, the long time of competition will greatly affect the performance of both and it is unclear whether these two athletes will continue to wear old clubs or will find themselves new stops after the penalty.
