With VNL 2025, many teams consider this to be an opportunity to compete and forge troops for the young athletes aimed at larger tournaments such as the World Championship or Olympic Games. Therefore, most strong teams only bring to the youth squad.
However, with Korean women's volleyball, it is completely different. The team that has reached the Top 4 Olympic Games Tokyo came to this tournament with the determination to survive if they want to stay with world -class tournaments.
The decline of not braking in recent years has caused this team to fall deeper to 35th in the world, unable to win tickets to attend the 2025 World Championship Volleyball Championship in Thailand.
The fact that they still play in the Volleyball Nations League 2025 is thanks to the “team core” group that Korea has participated in, no matter how the bowl plays like this tournament.
However, this “Kim card” was officially lost when the group's regulations were no longer kept in this season. That is, the last team will eventually be relegated and give the ticket to VNL 2026 to the team with the highest ranking on the world rankings without attending.
In the last three seasons, Korean women's volleyball has a winning rate of 0-12 in 2022, 0-12 years 2023 and October 2, 2024. If this achievement continues, the risk of leaving VNL is very large.
With the current ranking, once eliminated from VNL, Korean women's volleyball is also absent from world -class tournaments. And with the current rank and strength, it is almost hard to appear in large tournaments.
