Last week, the European Volleyball Federation decided to eliminate Russian volleyball clubs from its tournaments, but the earliest is the European club championship, also known as the Champions League.
This year was a promising year of Russian volleyball when they were the largest number of women in the Champions League quarter -finals of women and also had two representatives in the quarterfinals in the men's tournament.
With the five Russian volleyball clubs eliminated, how will the Champions League take place?

In the male content, the two Russian clubs in the quarterfinals are the defending champions Dinamo Moscow and Zenit Saint Petersburg.
These two teams were previously drawn in the quarterfinals 1 and 4. With being eliminated from the tournament, their two opponents would win the right to the semi -finals without having to compete in the quarterfinals. The remaining two quarter -finals took place normally, the branches did not change.
Meanwhile, in the Champions League, women are more complicated. Russia has three representatives in the quarterfinals including Dinamo Moscow, Dinamo AK Bars Kazan and the defending champions Lokomotiv Kaliningrad.
If Lokomotiv Kaliningrad was drawn into the quarter -final against Fenerbahce Istanbul of the Earth, Dinamo Moscow and Dinamo AK Bars Kazan met in the quarterfinals of Toan Russia.
With these three teams eliminated, the second quarter -final between the two Italian representatives, Monza and Imoco Conegliano, will become the first semi -final and who wins in this pair will go straight to the final.

In the other branch, Fenerbahce Istanbul will reach the semi -finals and wait for its opponent team to win the match between Vakifbank Istanbul and DevelopPres Rzeszow.
The schedule of the remaining quarterfinals of the 2020 Champions League volleyball tournament still takes place as expected in the middle of this March. The champion of the tournament is Egonu's Imoco Club after passing Vakifbank in the final last year.
Russian clubs are eliminated but it is unclear whether the athletes of this country can continue to participate in this tournament when playing for foreign clubs like Arina Fedorotseva or Anna Lazareva.
