While 2024 was not over, the Philippine women's volleyball was quickly planned to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games will take place nearly a year.
Sharing in One Sport, the Philippine female volleyball coach Jorge Souza de Brito shared his plan with the women's team for the most important goal in the next year.
He said he would start practicing with the students immediately after the 2024-2025 Premier League season ended. All are aimed at winning medals at the Southeast Asian Games.
For many years, the Philippine female volleyball is empty -handed at the SEA Games despite large investments from foreign training to hiring coaches who have won Olympic gold medals.
However, at Sea V.League 2024, the first Philippine women's volleyball passed by Indonesia – a direct competitor to win the 3rd place in the end.
Because of that positive signal, the island labor country is very expected to repeat the same thing. Currently, in Southeast Asia, in addition to Thailand and Vietnam are “out of the program”, Indonesia is the most affordable opponent with the Philippines.
SEA Games 32 volleyball will take place in the period from 9-20 December 2025. Meanwhile, the Premier League volleyball tournament of the Philippines will end on April 12, 2025.
