The Cambodian Volleyball Federation and the Cambodian Sports Association – the United States signed a memorandum of cooperation to bring more quality athletes for the national team.
The two main teams in this goal are indoor women's volleyball and beach women's volleyball will play at the 32nd SEA Games at the Cambodian home field in 2023.
The President of the Cambodian Labor Federation, Mr. Aing Sereypiseth, said the goal of this cooperation is to develop a volleyball in Cambodia, especially the female beach volleyball when the country has no team in this subject.
Opening and welcoming Cambodian athletes worldwide is necessary, Cambodian Football Federation will do everything to win good results at the SEA Games 32.
Cambodian women's volleyball is specially invested and wishes to have more people to participate in this subject. Currently, the Cambodian women's volleyball team is not qualified with other teams in the region.
The Cambodian Football Federation chose 14 athletes to China to train but did not have much expectation. The team of this country has no achievement because it is not focused.
Therefore, the Cambodian Football Federation welcomed the Cambodian athletes living abroad to return to help the national team. Aing Sereypiseth expects to promote the development of women's volleyball in this country.
The Cambodian women's volleyball team has never attended the SEA Games even though this subject first present SEA Games in 1977. It is expected that the Cambodian women's volleyball team will first participate in the home field.
