After two years of postponement of epidemics, the Challenger Cup volleyball tournament will officially return in 2022 with a completely new competitive format. This is a lower level volleyball tournament of Volleyball Nations League.
Accordingly, Challenger Cup will have 8 teams participating in each content for men and women. This year, the Challenger Cup 2022 will take place in the form of live streams every day two matches.

Accordingly, the first two days of competition will take place 4 quarterfinals. Tuesday will be two semi -finals and the last day will be the final and ranking. The host countries of the Challenger Cup 2022 volleyball tournament are also determined.
Accordingly, Challenger Cup 2022 women's volleyball tournament will take place from July 28-31 in the coastal city of Zadar of Croatia and the Challenger Cup 2022 men's volleyball tournament will take place in Korea at the same time.
Challenger Cup was born in 2018 with the first hosting country, Peru for women and Portugal for the year. Bulgaria won the female championship that year while the Portuguese host won the male championship.

Challenger Cup teams will win the right to attend the Volleyball Nations League 2023 to replace the team for the lowest ranking in this tournament this year.
