Being criticized for not establishing a national team to attend AVC Challenge Cup 2024 at home, although the tournament is only over two weeks, the Filipino Football Federation has made a new move.
Accordingly, the Football Federation of this country signed a landmark decision when assigned to the Organizing Committee of the Premier League (PVL) full authority to decide the destiny of the national team.
Specifically, the heads of PVL will be responsible for selecting coaches as well as the list of national teams and the first tournament after this decision will be AVC Challenge Cup 2024 at the end of May.
The Chairman of the Philippine Football Federation said that this was a landmark decision and he hoped that he would set up the strongest female national team ever.
Taking on the role of the head coach is still the Brazilian expert – Jorge Edson de Brito, who made a mark in the past year.
At the AVC Challenge Cup 2024, the Philippines will challenge the championship of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team. The two teams are likely to meet in vital matches if they pass the group stage.
This year, AVC Challenge Cup 2024 will take place in the Philippines from May 22-29 with the participation of teams: Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia, Hong Kong China, Taipei China, Iran, Singapore, Kazakhstan and India.
