The Japanese volleyball federation recently announced the name of the new coach of the national women's team. It was quite surprising when the name “chosen to send gold” was Ferhat Akbas.
This 8X coach will replace Mr. Manabe to lead the Asian No. 2 women's volleyball team since the 2025 season and if nothing changes, he will and Japan aim at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
