A rather rare incident happened on the opening day of the VTV Cup International Women's Volleyball Tournament when BTC had to change the schedule because a guest team had not been able to come to Vietnam.
Specifically, according to the original schedule, the defending champions Korableka of Russia will play the first match at the tournament against Thailand's Est Cola girls at 13:30 on June 28.
However, because this team could not come to Vietnam in this match, BTC had moved the match between Korabelka and Est Cola at 16:00 on the same day and pushed the match of Vietnamese children with Taipei China first.
Korableka girls on the journey to Vietnam have to transit in Qatar. Therefore, when the schedule is expected to be affected and this team cannot come to Vietnam to stand as expected.
This is also a rare event in international volleyball tournaments. Because normally, the teams will go to the competition a few days before training and get used to the tournament.
The girls from Russia are the defending champions of VTV Cup. This team won 3-0 easily against Vietnam at the final of the tournament last year.
In this season, this team is even more rated when adding more quality athletes to the squad to play the Russian league. In particular, this team added two passes of the Russian women's volleyball team.
