In recent days, volleyball fans have been worried about the news that Mr. Somphon Chaibangyang – General Secretary of the Thai Labor Federation said that the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam may appear problems when it is likely that Indonesia will not send a women's volleyball team to attend.
Thus, there are only three teams participating in women's volleyball including Vietnam, Thailand and the Philippines.
Mr. Somphon Chaibangyang said: “As far as I know, Indonesia will not send a women's team to the 31st SEA Games. There are many causes including the limited budget.”
Without Indonesia's participation, it is likely that women's volleyball will not be able to take place. This is a shocking news for the fans and the women's volleyball team.
For more than 2 years, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team has not focused as well as participating in international tournaments. SEA Games 31 at home is the first re -export of Vietnamese long -legged girls.
To prepare for this SEA Games, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team gathered with 16 athletes right after the Tet holiday. The whole team lacked captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her father Bui Thi Nga because of injury.
Fortunately, according to some sources, the last minute thanks to the diplomacy, the Malaysian sports delegation decided to add the women's volleyball team to attend the SEA Games even though they were not strong.
Malaysian women's volleyball has officially registered with BTC and thus, volleyball is still normal. The format may be like the previous congress that hit the circle one turn to select two names in the final.
