Despite being identified as one of the best women's volleyball coaches in the world, Zé Roberto's career at the club level is mainly attached to domestic teams.
Throughout his career, the overseas of this old coach is very few. He had two seasons of 2010-2012 leading the Türkiye's Fenerbahce Opet Club.
In those two seasons, he helped this team win noble titles such as CEV Champions League, World Women's Club Volleyball Championships, Turkish league and Turkey Super Cup.
In Brazil, Zé Roberto is leading one of the most powerful women's volleyball clubs, Barueri since 2016.
According to many sources, the Brazilian female volleyball team is receiving two offers, Vero Volley Milano of Italy and Turk Hava Yolları (Thy) of Türkiye.
